I am delighted to be able to now offer you all my classes direct to your home via the online platform Zoom and in-person at my beautiful studio. It is super easy & secure to set up. All you need is your mat, a block/cushion and an internet connection. Get all the benefits of a yoga practice whilst staying safely at home during this time. We all need more yoga, especially now.

I have put together a new timetable so that you can make the most of the classes to suit your needs at this time. Choose either in-person or drop-in virtual sessions.

Class Types

“Blended” classes are our new normal, where every class I will blend together teaching in-person and live-stream via Zoom at the same time.

In-person option – this is for someone who wants to attend the studio in person – is on a first-come first served basis.

Live-Stream/Zoom option – this is a virtual option only where you can sign up for one or many drop-in live-streamed and/or recorded via Zoom. Limitless spaces! Access to the internet is required.
*It is a highly unpredictable time and I need to be proactive in our approach to the sessions so that I can continue to serve you. My priority is to keep you safe and supported. 

I will reserve the right to switch in-person sessions to live-stream if: 

·      I become ill or need to self-isolate

·      You become ill or need to self-isolate

·      Using track & trace method I will notify you if anyone you have been in contact with at the studio has become unwell & therefore we all need to self-isolate

·      Government lockdown is implemented so that we have to formally close for a time.

Beginners Hatha Yoga

This class is designed to gently introduce you to the core concepts of yoga so that you can feel confident and safe. A welcoming group, suitable for all who enjoy learning to relax and to calm the body and mind.

This is perfect if:

You are nervous about starting or “not bendy enough”.

Would like to learn about Hatha practices which are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation.

Would like to gain some core stability and improve alignment.

Need to learn how to switch off and relax.

You are a busy person who wants to explore the benefits of yoga leaving you feeling stretched, relaxed and revived. You want to just stay, learn to relax and have fun with a warm and welcoming group of yogis.

The class will introduce you to all aspects of Hatha Yoga and give you an understanding of how to practice safely and with ease. The class covers pranayama (breathwork), asanas (postures), relaxation techniques and yoga concepts. I also use essential oils in relaxation to help create a deeply restful state of mind. Modifications and use of props help students to find ease in postures.

Hatha Vinyasa Flow Yoga

In this class you will receive a strengthening, playful workout for your body. Learn to move in a fluid, dynamic and safe way using flowing Vinyasa yoga and functional movement techniques to get the most out of your practice. A deep-dive experience into fluidity and core-strength, that will leave you feeling empowered, inspired and vibrant so that you can move in a more mindful and attuned way.

This is perfect if:

You are looking for a more in-depth practice with a focus on self-empowerment, fluidity & core strength.

Would like to improve your self-practice and enjoy a challenging class with variety of asanas

Suitable for Advanced Beginners who enjoy exploring Vinyasa flow.

Would like to learn how to develop more functional movement in your yoga to avoid injury

Like building up a sweat and relaxing afterwards

Yoga Shred™

This 1 hour session is a mindful and super effective fusion of yoga and better aligned fitness moves that can give amazing results in just one hour. This class gives you all the balance, centering and endurance-based strength of yoga, infused with superior cardio, muscle defining and sculpting and whole body transformation that comes with a HIIT (high intensity interval training).

Each pose is modified for strong beginners & up - get ready for the most fun you can have doing yoga & get in your cardio fitness too!

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, asanas may be held from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana three to five minutes.

This is perfect for deep stretching, relaxation and de-stressing and for anyone who is just starting out in yoga and likes to take it steady.

Meditation & Yoga Nidra

This practice is suitable for ALL. It is also vital for our mental & physical wellbeing. Check in with yourself in a gentle and easy introduction to meditation followed by a delicious and relaxing Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) where you are deeply resting and contacting your subconscious to restore & renew your body’s vital energy. No experience required. Come and try and you will not look back!

SoundMoves Yoga

Soundmoves is a form of yoga therapy using specially designed music to guide the breath. Developed by Australian yoga therapist and teacher Noah McKenna, the therapeutic benefits include a calmer and more focused mind, a happier disposition and a reduction in stress levels.

It is completely safe for all age groups and is recommended for anyone interested in yoga. Wherever you are at on your yoga path Soundmoves will help to deepen your practice.

Resonant frequency breathing is a subtle yet powerful tool which orients the nervous system toward the state of stability and security. By harmonising the cyclic cardiac signals of sympathetic and parasympathetic systems calm messages ascend through many levels of the mind both unconscious, subconscious and conscious. The effects improve emotional regulation and focus in the right hemisphere and re-calibrate energy levels in the left.

The music is designed with many magical properties to help induce a state of absorption. With isochronic beats, theta waves and key signatures based on complex fibonacci series. The richness and multi-layered sound on its own has amazing benefit but combined with soundmoves breathing, somatic techniques and aromatherapy it becomes deeply beneficial.

 
As a relative “newbie” to yoga, I had tried several different Pilates-type classes and not got on well with them, I then discovered Lara’s class & am a complete convert! These classes do challenge us, but in a positive, non-competitive style which, even as a beginner, I found both achievable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
